Voices of Discovery - The Smithsonian Associates' nation-wide educational outreach program - works with local communities to bring a Smithsonian presence to all corners of the United States. Smithsonian experts of art, history and science leave "the nation's attic" to bring programs as varied as storytelling sessions about cowboy life, presentations on physical anthropology and lectures on Mexican American folklife to museums, libraries, schools, businesses and community centers in your own neighborhood.

OUR MISSION

Voices of Discovery shares the human resources of the Smithsonian Institution with communities outside of the nation's capital. Working in conjunction with cultural, educational, business and civic organizations, Voices enables Smithsonian scholars of art, history and science to serve and inspire the curiosity and imagination of local communities.
